| Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) has been given the mandate by the Malaysian Government for the coordination, promotion and development of the information technology (IT) industry and selected services in MSC Malaysia.
Incorporated under Companies Act of Malaysia, owned and funded by the Government, MDeC advises the government on IT legislation and policies, develops MSC Malaysia-specific practices and set world-class standards for MSC Malaysia information infrastructure and urban development.
To catalyze the growth of the Creative Multimedia Industry in MSC Malaysia, a dedicated Creative Multimedia Department (CMD) was set-up within MDeC. CMD’s main role is to attract to the MSC companies using multimedia and digital technologies to develop, create, add value to, deliver content and to ensure a conducive environment exists for the creative industry to thrive. CG Skill has the constant support and feedback from MDeC to ensure relevant and up to date skills being imparted to the students, meeting the needs of the creative multimedia industry in Malaysia. |
